Quick cooking notes

  • Core ingredients include black pepper, sea scallops, olive oil, salt.
  • Follow all 7 steps in order for the intended texture and doneness.
  • Ingredient quantities listed below are for 4 servings.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 500 g sea scallops
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 8 pieces skewers
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the sea scallops to the marinade and toss gently to coat them evenly. Let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
  3. While the scallops are marinating, soak the skewers in water for about 10 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Thread the marinated scallops onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each scallop.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the scallops are opaque and cooked through.
  7. Remove the skewers from the grill and serve immediately, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
