  • Ingredient quantities listed below are for 6 servings.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water over medium heat to make the caramel, stirring until the sugar dissolves and turns a golden brown color.
  3. Quickly pour the caramel into a round baking dish, tilting to coat the bottom evenly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
  5. Pour the pumpkin mixture over the caramel in the baking dish.
  6. Place the baking dish in a larger baking pan and fill the pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the flan dish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes or until the flan is set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
  9. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  10. Serve the chilled flan topped with cinnamon whipped cream.
