Indian Style Spiced Potatoes

Indian style spiced potatoes are a flavorful and aromatic dish that showcases the vibrant spices of indian cuisine. This dish features tender potatoes seasoned with a blend of spices, creating a comforting and satisfying side. Perfect for pairing with your favorite curry or enjoying on its own!

Ingredients

  • 800 g potatoes (peeled and diced)
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds, and sauté until they begin to pop.
  3. Stir in the diced potatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  4. Mix well to coat the potatoes with the spices and cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender.
  5. Once cooked, remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh cilantro before serving.
