Quick cooking notes

  • Core ingredients include venison steak, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic.
  • Follow all 7 steps in order for the intended texture and doneness.
  • Ingredient quantities listed below are for 4 servings.

Ingredients

  • 500 g venison steak (cubed)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 medium red onion (cut into chunks)
  • 4 pieces skewers (soaked in water if wooden)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 medium zucchini (sliced)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 medium bell pepper (cut into chunks)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, soy sauce, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt to create the marinade.
  2. Add the cubed venison steak to the marinade and mix well to ensure all pieces are coated. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. While the venison is marinating, prepare the vegetables by cutting the bell pepper, zucchini, and red onion into chunks.
  4. After marinating, thread the venison and vegetables onto the skewers, alternating between meat and vegetables.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grates.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the venison is cooked to your desired doneness.
  7. Remove the kabobs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
