Ingredients
- 1.25 cups warm water
- 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1.5 tsp sea salt (divided)
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp cornmeal
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 6 oz tomato paste
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder

- 1 tsp dried marjoram
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 12 oz part-skim mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 4 oz pepperoni (sliced)
- 0.5 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the warm water, active dry yeast, and honey, then let the mixture stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
- Stir in the olive oil, 1 teaspoon of the sea salt, and 1 cup of the flour until combined.
- Gradually add the remaining flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise at room temperature for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F and lightly grease a 12 x 17-inch baking sheet, then sprinkle it with cornmeal.
- In a medium bowl, stir together the tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic powder, dried basil, dried marjoram, granulated sugar, and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon sea salt to make the pizza sauce.
- Punch down the risen dough and press it into a rectangle large enough to fit the prepared baking sheet.
- Transfer the dough to the baking sheet, press it gently to the edges, and form a slight rim around the border.
- Parbake the crust for 4 minutes, then remove it from the oven and gently press down any large air bubbles.
- Spread the sauce evenly over the crust, then top with the mozzarella, pepperoni, and cheddar cheese.
- Bake the pizza for 14 to 18 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and lightly browned.
- Let the pizza rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
