Classic Peach Cobbler

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 cups fresh peaches (sliced)
- 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with half of the granulated sugar and set aside to macerate for about 10 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt together.
- Stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, then spoon the macerated peaches over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
