Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 cups fresh peaches (sliced)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced peaches with half of the granulated sugar and set aside to macerate for about 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt together.
  4. Stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, then spoon the macerated peaches over the top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.
